Reconnect. Regulate. Restore.

About This Training

When a child struggles to regulate, their behavior is communicating something. Most of the time it has everything to do with their sensory system.

This beginner-level training bridges occupational therapy and mental health — helping clinicians understand how sensory processing differences affect a child's regulation, behavior, emotional expression, and participation in everyday life.

You will walk away with a sensory-informed lens you can start using in session immediately.

What You Will Learn

In This Training

How children receive, organize, and respond to sensory information from their bodies and environments — including vestibular, proprioceptive, and interoceptive processing

How sensory processing differences affect regulation, behavior, emotional expression, and relationships — and how these show up in your clinical sessions

Patterns of sensory processing including modulation, discrimination, sensory-motor differences, and thresholds

Practical sensory-informed strategies including co-regulation, environmental adaptations, and trauma-informed considerations you can apply immediately

Real-world case examples and clinical applications to bring these concepts directly into your work with children and families

So many of the children our clinicians work with have a sensory story underneath their behavior. I am so glad to be bringing Lindsay's expertise into this space.
